August 15, 2005. Kazakhstan President's idea on the Union of the Central Asian States was presented at the ministerial meeting in Paraguay

The meeting of Trade Ministers of developing countries having no access to the sea was held in the capital of Paraguay, Asuncion, on August 9-10, 2005. Delegations from 29 countries participated in the event.

Delegation of Kazakhstan was headed by Permanent Representative of the country in the UN, Ambassador Yerzhan Kazykhanov as a special representative of the Kazakhstan Prime Minister. Mr. Kazykhanov presented the idea on creation of the Union of the Central Asian States.
