International Conference "National Economy Prospects in Accession to the World Trade Organization" took place on May 27-28, 2003 in Almaty. Organizers of the Conference University of International Business and Nursultan Nazarbaev Educational Foundation. The goal of the conference was to discuss prospects for national economy development, challenges for regional integration into the multilateral trade system under the WTO. This conference focused on creating strategy for Kazakhstan economy to join the WTO and developing exports, identifying trade policies and measures of social protection.
