In the first quarter of 2006 Uzbekistan had trade surplus for $ 387.1 million

A meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan to analyze the economic indicators of the first quarter of 2006 was held April 15, presided by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Comparing the first quarter of 2005, GDP of Uzbekistan has increased for 3.6 percents. The value of produced goods and services provided has increased for 6.8 percents. The increase of production in agriculture was equal to 4.5 percents. Increases in construction and transport, communications were 3.6 and 7.3 percent accordingly. External trade surplus amounted $ 387.1 million. 324 out of 484 restructured enterprises and companies improved their financial indicators.
