VIII World Congress of Russian Press to be held in Astana

World Association of Russian Press (WARP) together with Congress of Kazakhstani Journalists and International Fund Eurasian Media Forum will hold VIII World Congress of Russian Press on the initiative of the President of WARP Vitaly Ignatenko and Vice President of WARP Dariga Nazarbayeva. The event will take place in Kazakhstan for the first time. Within the framework of the Congress there will be discussed problems and prospects of contemporary “Eurasianism” (Evrasiystvo) by the example of informational aspects of Eurasian integration, interaction between Kazakhstan and Russia in Russian-language information field as a main factor of strategic partnership in conditions of world globalization. Discussions devoted to the new strategic aims of Kazakhstan, issues on development of foreign Russian-language mass media, summing up the results of WARP 8-year activity are included in the agenda of the forum as well.
