- June 21, 2006. Donors to help Tajikistan modernize its national statistical system

The Government of Tajikistan and the World Bank signed in Dushanbe two agreements on providing funds for a project aimed at modernization and strengthening of potentials of the national statistical system in the country - the IDA - Financing Agreement and SIDA and DFID Grant Agreement. The estimated total cost of the project is around US$ 5.07 million. The Government of Tajikistan’s contribution is around US$ 872,000, and pledges from other donors, including DFID and SIDA, to date amount to US$ 3.2 million.
