January 8, 2007. Kazakhstan switches from 61st to 56th position among world's most competitive states
According to Marat Aikenov, Chairman of the Committee for Intellectual Property Rights, Ministry of Justice of RK, according to a competition survey made by the World Economic Forum for 2004 - 2005, Kazakhstan occupied the 61st position among 117 countries, and the 40th position in macroeconomic development, ahead of all post-Soviet countries. As per the competition survey for 2006 - 2007 Kazakhstan switched to the 56th position.
