- February 5, 2007. Turkmenistan completes construction of new gas-lift compressor station at Goturdepe field

The construction of a new station at Goturdepe field was completed by the Sumskoy machine works named after M.Frunze. The construction began in 2001. The new facility has the capacity of 12 million cubic meters per day. It is equipped with modern pipe-compressor units with highly productive centrifugal compression machines. Balkanneftestroy trust of Turkmenneftegasstroy state concern acted as contractor for the Ukrainian machine works. The US $ 120 million compressor station is designed to increase the extraction of hydrocarbons and utilized gas for exports.
