- February 1, 2007. China to build glass-works in Ashgabat

The Ministry of construction and construction materials industry of Turkmenistan and the consortium of Chinese companies Capital-Lonqji Sci-Tech Co., Ltd and SINOMASCH signed a contract on the turnkey construction of a glass-works in Ashgabat. The total cost of the project is US $ 67,38 million. The facility should be commissioned in February 2009. China's Export-Import Bank will issue a soft credit to finance the project.
