An international three-day conference of Persian-language media started in Dushanbe on March 11. The main objective of the conference formally titled “Persian-language Media under Conditions of Globalization: Partnership and Distances” is to discuss issues related to creation and development of a single information space for Persian-speaking peoples as well as establishment of an association of Persian-language journalists for free and unbiased coverage of events in Tajikistan and abroad as well as lives of Tajiks and other Persian-speaking peoples. Some 60 media representatives from countries such as Iran, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Uzbekistan are attending the three-day conference in Dushanbe.
