Japanese-Uzbek Human Resource Centre hosted a ceremony of grant-contract signing. This ceremony is the second in this year and the 6 grants are issued by the Japanese Government are intended to assist the achievement of the objectives set in the framework of the "Year of Social Protection" Programme for the year 2007. Among the recipients of the total aid of US$341,554 are schools, medical institutions and a centre for socio-economic protection of women.
