Turkmenistan to extract 80 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 10,4 million tons of oil in 2007

Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov held an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. The Cabinet meeting outlined specific tasks for the oil and gas industry for the near future. The deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Tachberdy Tagiyev, read out the programme of development of the fuel and energy complex for 2007. According to the programme, some 80 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 10,400 million tons of oil will be extracted this year, thus increasing production of gas by 20% and oil by 15%.
