Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ednan Karabaev met with the delegation of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights led by High Commissioner Louise Arbour, who is visiting Bishkek in frames of her familiarization visit to Central Asia. The sides exchanged opinions on the state and prospects of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and UNHCHR on development of mechanisms of strengthening and protection of human rights. L. Arbour positively appreciated efforts of the Kyrgyz Government on further democratization of the society and development of civil society and NGO.
