The World Bank representative office in Uzbekistan and Center for Economic Research is planning to hold research and empirical seminar on "Priority directions for welfare improvement in Uzbekistan" on May 11, on May 11, 2007 at "Grand Orzu" Hotel. The seminar is aimed at presenting results of the research works, carried out within the framework of small grants by the World Bank for undertaking research activity in the sphere of analysis of living standards in the country. The event will also include analyses of the possibility of these results' application in formulating the Welfare Improvement Strategy of Uzbekistan (WIS).
