Warsaw East European Conference

Studium Europy Wschodniej UW (The Centre for East European Studies of Warsaw University) is organizing the Warsaw East European Conference, Fourth Annual Session, to be held in Warsaw, July 15-18, 2007. THE MAIN SUBJECTS of the Warsaw East European Conference, Fourth Annual Session, are democratic and authoritarian tendencies in East Central, South Eastern and Eastern Europe since 18th century. The Conference will focus on history of 19th and 20th centuries as well as current political, social, economic, national and cultural issues related to the main subject. Special attention will be given to the problems of the communist and post-communist world. Therefore, the Caucasus and Central Asian issues will be also relevant for the WEEC, Fourth Annual Session.
