The First Youth Ecological Forum of Uzbekistan "Youth, Environment and Sustainable Development" will take place in Tashkent. The main goal of the event is to strengthen interaction between young people in preservation of the environment by adjustment of multilateral dialogue between youth and other sectors of civil society. It is also planned to discuss problems of biodiversity preservation in the Republic of Uzbekistan and rational use of water resources. The event's major organizers are: the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), Representation of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Uzbekistan, Youth Ecological Network of Central Asia and Eremurus Ecological Club. Leaders of youth organizations of Uzbekistan, representatives of state bodies, public organizations, institutes of higher education and international organizations are to participate in the forum.
