Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and UAE president's special envoy Halfan Sultan Al Ketbi discussed issues of further cooperation between the two countries at a meeting. Halfan Sultan Al Ketbi noted that the United Arab Emirates is very interested in taking any opportunity to implement new joint projects with the Turkmen side. The sides noted that the forthcoming UAE President Sheikh Halifa Bin Zayed Al Nahayan's visit to Ashgabat in February 2008 "would serve greater understanding between the two friendly peoples."
