China, Uzbekistan discussed issues of interparliamentary cooperation

Chinese top legislator Wu Bangguo met with Adham Shadmanov, vice speaker of the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majilis of Uzbekistan in Beijing. Wu, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), said the NPC would like to enhance exchanges and consultations with the Uzbekistan parliament. Adham Shadmanov said Uzbekistan appreciated the role China had played in the international and regional organizations including the SCO, and hoped the parliaments of the two countries would contribute to all-round development of the bilateral ties.
