January 29, 2008. Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus completed forming legal base of the Customs Union

Nine international agreements on forming the legal base of the Customs Union were signed within the framework of session of the Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) in Moscow. Thus Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus completed the process of forming the legal base of the Customs Union. "The signed documents have crucial importance for the further development of integration processes within the framework of the community," Russian Prime Minister Victor Zubkov said after the signing of agreements.
