- February 5, 2008. Tajik CCI seeks Arab investors’ cooperation to enhance agrarian sector

Attraction of investments in agrarian sector was focus of a meeting of Sharif Said, the head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), with a group of visiting entrepreneurs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The CCI head, in particular, outlined the cotton sector, which makes an important contribution to the country’s agrarian sector, as one of priorities of cooperation. Said briefed the UAE entrepreneurs on Tajikistan’s energy sector and its energy and water resources. He also outlined sectors like transportation, housing and hotel construction, and tourism as areas of which could drive the bilateral trade between the two countries.
