UNDP Country Office in Uzbekistan awarded the best entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan within the framework of the national competition among entrepreneurs, farmers and handicraftsmen for the Prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “Tashabbus-2008” (“Initiative”). The “Tashabbus” contest focuses on stimulation of entrepreneurship initiative, creation of favourable conditions for the formation of the proprietary, improvement of business activities and popularization of the experience of leading businessmen. The joint project of UNDP Country Office in Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan “Supporting to the development of arbitration courts and other alternative methods of dispute settlement in the Republic of Uzbekistan” (Arbitration project) awarded several outstanding businesses. The project is aimed at developing the arbitration courts and other alternative ways of dispute resolution through creation of the Center for Development of Arbitration and Mediation under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
