World Bank provide $28M for HIV/AIDS program's 7th round

World Bank will provide $28 million for implementation of the 7th round of HIV/AIDS control program in Kyrgyzstan, Talgat Subanbaev, chief manager of the Global Fund to fight against AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria project said at the news conference today. The project is to last till 2013, with the 2-year first phase period, requiring $12 million. "The rest funds will be channeled after the first phase is successfully accomplished," Subanbaev stressed. The 7th round of the program will be mostly focused on labor migrants, namely those who work in HIV/AIDS high risk countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan and China. The project intends to involve about 15 thousand of migrants.
