June 3, 2008—June 4, 2008. Role of civil society in countering HIV/AIDS to be discussed in Dushanbe next week

A national forum of HIV-service organizations "Civil Society in Countering HIV/AIDS in Tajikistan" will be held in Dushanbe from June 3-4. The event is staged by the UNDP CO Tajikistan, Central Asia AIDS Control Project, Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation - Tajikistan and POTENTIAL/USAID Project. According to the Republic AIDS Center, the forum aims to promote strengthening of role of civil society in combating epidemic of HIV-infection in Tajikistan through combining civil society's efforts and working out principles of intra-sectoral and inter-sectoral interaction.
