Regional department of UNHCHR for Central Asia to be opened in Bishkek

Deputy UN High Commissioner on Human Rights Kyun va Kan will visit Bishkek on June 10-11. During the visit she plans to meet with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Kurmanbek Bakiyev, Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh A. Tagaev, first deputy prosecutor general C. Nasiza, Ombudsman T. Akun. On the first half of the day Kyan va Kan met with deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic A. Beshimov. The sides plan to sign agreement between the Kyrgyz Government and UN High Commissionaire on Human Rights on opening the regional department of UNHCHR for Central Asia in Bishkek.
