UNDP supported the seminar on development of arbitration and mediation system in Uzbekistan for business and judicial representatives of Kashkadarya region. The seminar, held in Karshi city on 19 June, was part of the series of the seminars planned to be carried out in the whole country (earlier, seminars had been held in Namangan, Tashkent and Termez cities) for lawyers from financial institutions, local businesses and judicial system. About 30 representatives of business, financial and judicial institutions discussed the issues of training of arbitrators and mediators, improving their professional skills, as well as exposing them to familiarize businesses and lawyers with modern trends in arbitration.
