March 17, 2005. Central Asian Gateway Steering Committee Meeting in Tashkent

The first meeting of the Central Asian Gateway Steering Committee (CAG SC) will take place at the Center for Economic Research (CER, Tashkent, Uzbekistan) premises on March 17, 2005. The participants will discuss the issues of the second phase of realization of the CAG project.

The second phase of the project is realizing after support from the UNDP RBEC by the efforts of the CAG partner institutions:

• Public Policy Research Center (Kazakhstan),
• News agency "AKI PRESS" (Kyrgyzstan),
• "Asia Plus" Media Group (Tajikistan),
• Center for Economic Research (Uzbekistan).

This first CAG SC meeting will gather representatives from the following organizations: CER, UNDP Country Offices in the countries of Central Asia, CAG partner institutions, ADB, World Bank, UNDP RBEC in Bratislava and other regional development stakeholders.
