A telephone conversation between the President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov and the President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko was held on March 29, 2005.
Greeting the head of Turkmenistan Victor Yushchenko cordially thanked Saparmurat Niyazov for warm welcome rendered to him and the members of the governmental delegation of Ukraine during the recent visit of the Ukrainian leader to Turkmenistan. As the Ukrainian President said the people of Ukraine enthusiastically took the results of the summit meeting called to fill the traditional Turkmen-Ukrainian co-operation with content.
In that context Victor Yushchenko told Saparmurat Niyazov that on his coming to Kiev he ordered the members of the Ukrainian government to establish close co-operation with the Turkmen party for steady realisation of the agreements achieved in Ashgabat and to report monthly on the work done in that direction.
