Trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Bangladesh

On March 31, Mr. Mofazzal Hossain, Counselor of Bangladeshi Embassy in Tehran, met in Dushanbe with Mr. Sharif Saidov, head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI). The two discussed a present state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the area of economy and trade.
The CCI press service reports that Bangladeshi diplomat telling the meeting noted, “To date, a trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Bangladesh has been at low level.” Mr. Saidov, for his part, offered organization of a mission of businesspeople of Tajikistan and Bangladesh. According to the CCI press service, Bangladeshi diplomat has arrived in Dushanbe to study the possibility of establishment of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
