March 17, 2008. Kazakhstan, Sultanate of Oman signed a number of cooperation documents

Following the results of the visit of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to the Sultanate of Oman a number of documents was signed. In particular, a memorandum of exemption of the bearers of diplomatic passports from visa claims was signed by the governments of the two countries. A memorandum of cooperation in the field of education and science was reached by the heads of the corresponding ministries of Kazakhstan and Oman. Commerce and Industry Chambers concluded an agreement on cooperation as well.

March 12, 2008. Kazakh President to visit Sultanate of Oman

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev will visit Sultanate of Oman. The official visit is planned for March 15-18, 2008. During the negotiations the parties will discuss the prospects of development of bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Issues of creation of Kazakh-Omani intergovernmental commission, business council of two countries, as well as attraction of Oman investments into oil-and-gas sphere and other investment projects in our country will constitute the economic block of negotiations of the parties. During the visit the parties will sign bilateral documents.
