Minister of foreign affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ednan Karabaev met with ambassador of Vietnam to Kyrgyzstan Le Van Toan. During the talks, the ambassador of Vietnam handed over a copy of credentials to E.Karabaev, the ministry's press service reported. He invited E.Karabaev to pay official visit to Vietnam. "Vietnam is ready to develop and strengthen bilateral relations between the two states", - said the ambassador. E.Karabaev pointed out the necessity of developing trade-economic relations and increasing commodity circulation between Kyrgyzstan and Vietnam. The both states are members of WTO.

Issues related to the establishment the Tajik-Vietnamese intergovernmental commission for trade and economic cooperation were discussed at a meeting of Tajik Agriculture Minister Qosim Qosimov with visiting Vietnam’s Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Li Zan Vin in Dushanbe. The sides had agreed to hold the first session of the Tajik-Vietnamese economic commission in the third quarter of this year in Hanoi, Vietnam. Mr. Li heading Vietnamese governmental delegation has been to Tajikistan since March 30. The Vietnamese delegation has to date held a number of meetings with senior representatives from some Tajik ministries and organizations to discuss issues related to prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. Vietnamese delegation’s visit to Tajikistan is concluding on April 2.

The third session of the Kazakhstan-Vietnamese intergovernmental commission on trade and economic and scientific and technical cooperation will take place in Astana on April 4. During the session the participants will discuss the questions of expansion of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

The national oil & gas corporation of Vietnam "Petro-Vietnam" is going to open an office in Kazakhstan. It was stated at a meeting between - Danial Akhmetov, Prime Minister of RK, and the company representatives. The company representatives said they interested in closer co-operation with Kazakhstan and in a search of partners that would invest into the country's economy. Potential participation in the oil & gas projects of Kazakhstan was discussed as well.
