A high-rank delegation of Australia led by Australia's Ambassador to Turkmenistan Robert Tyson has had a series of talks and meetings with representatives of ministries and organizations of Turkmenistan. The purpose of the delegation's three day visit is to explore the economic potential of Turkmenistan and to establish more close contracts with Turkmen partners.

May 21, 2007. Australian ambassador calls for expansion of exchange of students between Australia and Tajikistan
Australian Ambassador to Tajikistan Robert James Tyson today presented credentials to President Emomali Rahmon. A state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Australia were discussed during a meeting following the credentials-presenting ceremony. After the meeting with President Rahmon, Australian Ambassador told journalists that sectors like agriculture, hydropower, education and tourism are areas of which could drive the bilateral trade between the two countries. He also attached significance to bilateral cooperation between Australia and Tajikistan in the field of education. “Dushanbe is one of important cultural centers in the region with old history and rich traditions, therefore, it would be good to provide student exchange programs between out countries,” Mr. Tyson said.
