Support to Private Sector
Understanding, that the potential of a private sector is still far from being unleashed, the governments the Central Asian countries, International Organizations and Private Sector join their efforts for supporting development of business, providing an equal place among other driving forces of economy to private business, involving of private sector representatives in the process of decision making.
The governments of the countries undertake efforts on development of large-scale complex programs and strategies for private sector development. These efforts are supplemented with activity of international organizations among which the most active are the World Bank, United Nations Development Programme, the Asian Development Bank, the United States Agency for International Development and number of others. They provide technical assistance, support in conducting researches on the issues of private sector and entrepreneurship development in the region; jointly with the Central Asian research centers and think tanks develop policy recommendations.
It is significant and should be mentioned that the private sector is being actively involved in the process of strengthening of its positions in the economies of Central Asia by creation of business development support structures: business of associations, chambers and other institutions.
