Well, what's the use of speaking about "American vital interests in Central Asian region" if we take into account the latest pronouncements of our President Karimov concerning to "expediency of US military presence in Uzbekistan"? I don't think Karimov is unable to understand that the main goal of Washington is creation of regime-satellite on the territory of our country. And only because of it Americans sign contracts, give investments and build military bases, where our extremists receive combat training. But according to some authoritative source close to entourage of our Defence Minister, K. Gulyamov his US colleague has sent a message to him. The substance of US proposals in his address reduces to the following: we will give you money and you will give us the free run of our military bases on your territory. Thus, we cannot but hope Americans are unable to buy our government's consent for turning our territory into client state, headed by militants who are sponsored by US special services. But there is no saying how all this will end. Sometimes money turns us into more squarable persons than anybody can expect. |
